Rhythm skating lives at rinks with a real DJ and a session culture — check each rink's page for DJ and music reports from the skaters who were there. Adult night and session skates are listed in the events tab; go once as a spectator if you're nervous. You won't be the only one watching.
The styles blur and that's fine: rhythm, jam, dance and artistic all build from the same edges. Instructors below teach across them — many adult beginners come into rhythm skating within their first year, and the community is famously welcoming to it.
What "the usual crowd" tells you
